2001: Age 8 - Started Swimming at Hoddesdon S.C.
2002: Age 9 - Won the County Swimming Champs, Hertfordshire.
2004: Age 11 - Finalist in the 200m Butterfly Southern Counties Championships, Crystal Palace.
2005: Age 12 - National Champs 800m & 200m Freestyle, Ponds Forge Sheffield.
2019
2009: Age 16 - Regional Champion for 200m, 400m, 800m & 1500m freestyle, Norwich.
2009: Age 16 - National Champion 5km Open Water, Rother Valley.
2011
2011: Met Reece Barclay whilst training with Hatfield Elite Swim Squad, Hertfordshire Uni.
2011: Competed in the Olympic Test Event 10km Open Water, Hyde Park.
2012
2012: London 2012 Olympic trials, finalist in 800m freestyle, Stratford.
2012: Swam the 5th fastest all time British Short Course 1500m freestyle - 16:15.
2013
2013: March - 4th place British Championships 1500m freestyle, Leeds.
2013: June - Works in Marketing department of Paradise Wildlife Park, Broxbourne.
2013: August - Meanwhile, takes a different direction to swimming so signs up for Ironman UK and starts to train for triathlon.
2014
2014: Becomes a Personal Trainer and sets up company Pulse Fitness Personal Trainers
with partner Reece.
2014: July - Competes in first ever Ironman, finishes 2nd in AG.
2015
2015: June - AG Win Ironman 70.3 Staffordshire.
2015: July - AG Win Ironman UK.
2015: August - AG Win 70.3 World Championships, Zell am See.
2015: Oct - AG Win Ironman World Championships, Kona Hawaii.
2016
2016: Applies for Pro licence and is initially refused by Brit Tri, only to be given on a trial basis.
2016: May - Comes 3rd at her first pro race at Ironman Lanzarote.
2016: June - Finished 4th at Ironman Staffordshire but was unable to race for the rest of the season due to a stress fracture in the Femur.
2017
2017: Jan - First race back, finished 10th at Ironman 70.3 Dubai.
2017: April - Comes 2nd to Emma Pallant, with a sprint finish, missing the top spot by 6 seconds at Challenge Gran Canaria. With Daniela Ryf coming 3rd.
2017: April - Decides to go full time pro and stops working as a personal trainer.
2017: May - Wins Ironman Lanzarote and breaks bike course record.
2017: June - Wins the inaugural Challenge The Championship, for the first time.
2017: July - Comes 2nd at Ironman Frankfurt to Sarah Crowley and qualifies for Kona.
2017: Oct - Comes 2nd at the Ironman World Championship on pro debut to Daniela Ryf.
2018
2018: April - Wins Ironman African Championship, validates her slot for the World Champs.
2018: June - Wins Challenge The Championship for the second time.
2018: Oct - Comes 2nd at the Ironman World Championship
and breaks the 19 year old swim course record.
2018: Dec - Married Reece Barclay, and became Lucy Charles-Barclay.
2019
2019: April - Defends her title at the Ironman African Championship
and validates her slot for the World Champs.
2019: June - Wins Challenge The Championship for the third time.
2019: June - Wins Ironman 70.3 Staffordshire and validates for the 70.3 Worlds in Nice.
2019: Sep - Ironman 70.3 World Champs. Nice, France.
2019: Oct - Ironman World Champs. Kona, Hawaii.
